Sahasra Shivalinga Temple

"Nestled atop Koti Shivalinga Parvat in Kutunipadar village, Sahasra Shivalinga Temple is one of Odisha’s distinctive Shiva pilgrimage sites. The sacred hill is dotted with more than a thousand naturally surfaced Shiva Lingas, ranging from tiny stone formations to large, partially buried monoliths, creating an extraordinary landscape of faith and devotion.

Adding to the spiritual significance of the site are two ancient cave shrines that house prominent Shiva Lingas alongside finely carved stone idols of Lord Vishnu, Bhairav and other deities. The combination of naturally occurring sacred formations and cave shrines lends the destination a distinctive religious and heritage character.

Visitors reach the temple by climbing a flight of stone steps through the picturesque hillside, with views of the surrounding forests and valleys adding to the experience. Blending spirituality, heritage and natural beauty, Sahasra Shivalinga Temple offers a serene pilgrimage experience amid the tribal heartland of Koraput."
