The twin water falls located close to each other attracts the maximum tourists to Keonjhar.


Literally meaning the bigger waterfall, located deep inside the forest belt offers a spectacular view as the water cascades down from a height of 100 feet above.


The water much smaller in height than Badaghagra hence the name Sanaghagara which means the smaller water fall has its own beauty and charm.

The waterfalls set amidst beautiful forest range of Keonjhar makes for a perfect weekend destination. The treks along the jungles and nearby places adds to the charm of the twin waterfalls.

  • One can go to Khandadhar water fall located 53 Km from Sanaghagra
  • The Gonasika&Guptaganga – the place where many believe River Baitarani originates from is located 26KM. The trickle which flows through the nostrils of an idol of a bull collects in Brahma Kunda, known amongst the locals as Guptaganga
  • Sitabinji – the ancient rock which contains the age old fresco paintings and associated with Sita and her sons Luv & Kush is located 37 KM from Sanaghagara
  • Tara Tarini Temple at Ghatagaon is a famous pilgrim centre and located 52 Km from the Sanaghagra
