Brief History

Perched on the serene Dhauli Hills overlooking the Daya River, the Dhauli Shanti Stupa stands close to the site of the historic Kalinga War fought in 261 BCE. It was here that Emperor Ashoka witnessed the devastation of war and embraced the path of peace and Buddhism, transforming from the feared "Chandashoka" to the compassionate "Dhammashoka".

About the Show

The Dhauli Light & Sound Show is a spectacular 35-minute 3D projection mapping experience that transforms the white Peace Pagoda into a living canvas of history. Through immersive visuals, dramatic narration and music, the show retells the story of the Kalinga War, Ashoka's remorse, and the rise of Buddhism from the land of Odisha.

Set against the tranquil backdrop of the Daya River, the experience combines history, spirituality and cutting-edge technology in a deeply moving evening attraction.

Sun Temple, Konark Light & Sound Show

Brief History

The magnificent 13th-century Sun Temple at Konark, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, was built by King Narasimhadeva I of the Eastern Ganga dynasty. Designed as Surya's celestial chariot, the temple remains one of India's greatest architectural masterpieces and a timeless symbol of Odisha's artistic brilliance.

About the Show

The state-of-the-art Konark Light & Sound Show, also known as Arunodya, is an immersive 3D projection mapping experience that brings the legends, history and architectural grandeur of the Sun Temple to life.

Projected directly onto the temple complex, the show narrates the stories of Dharmapada and Samba, the vision behind the temple's construction, and the mysteries surrounding its decline. Enhanced with laser projections, open-air audio and dramatic storytelling, the experience offers visitors a captivating journey into Konark's glorious past.
