More than 230 variety of birds flock in chilika lake and highest congregation is seen in Mangalajodi of Chilika. Mangalajodi is known as the bird paradise of Asia.
Millions of colourful birs can be sighted while boating in the lagoon along with Irrawaddy Dolphins near Rajhans Nature Camp. Lakhs of Godwits, Plovers, Ducks, Ruffs, Sandpipers, Falcons, Lapwings, Terns, Crakes etc flock in large numbers in Chilika.
More than 271 species of birds have been recorded in Bhitarkanika, the mini Amazon of Asia. India’s largest Heronry is in Bhitarkanika.
